Hey everyone!

I hope you all had a fabulous week, however you spent it! I went back to school this week, and to say the least… it was hectic. I wanted to upload a more lighthearted and fun post today for you guys, which is why I’m going to be sharing one of my favourite summer activities in this post.

When I was younger and I lived in England, during the summertime I always used to go fruit picking with my family. And it’s one of those memories that I remembered absolutely loving. So, last summer I found a pick your own farm and hauled my family out there for my birthday, I even wrote about it here. And this summer I couldn’t resist going back there!

Part of the reason I wanted to write about fruit picking again, even though I wrote about it last year, is because I had a completely different experience! This summer when I visited the farm, I truly just enjoyed spending time outside in the sun, walking through the rows of berries, and being with my family. It’s such a lovely thing to do, and it just makes you fall in love with nature all over again.

I’m not saying, go find a farm and pick some fruit wherever you are! No, but I would recommend getting outside and connecting with nature, whatever time of year it is, and wherever you are in the world. There’s something calming about being outside, being surrounding by something that’s purely… natural. In this world we live in, where everything is always so fast-paced, sometimes you need to take a step back, breathe, and reconnect with nature.

Here are some photos of my day at the farm, I hope you enjoy them! This post was a little more lighthearted and fun, so I hope you enjoyed it. Let me know in the comments what your favourite way to connect with nature is and where in the world you live!

See you next week!

  1. I would love to reconnect with nature again. That’s the one thing I loved about my environmental science class, we were not confined to the classroom. We went out to a farm to plant vegetables, visited turbine farms, and even discussed how we can become more sustainable everything (planting small gardens, utilizing solar power). I absolutely loved it!!
