I can’t believe it’s already mid-July! Summer has flown by so quickly, and in exactly a month I’ll be moving into my first college dorm (if all the traveling goes to plan, with covid-19 out there!)
Summer is my absolute favorite time of the year. When I’m having a bad day at school or I’m super stressed out about an upcoming exam, I always think about last summer’s memories and look forward to the next one.
This year, summer has looked a little – actually a lot different. As an expat, I usually go back home for the summer and then travel to different places in Europe and America. However, this year I spent the first month of summer in Dubai at home, and the last few weeks in the UK with family. I miss the huge family gatherings and the hugs from loved ones! The new norm has become pulling down my mask and saying a socially-distanced hello followed by a squirt of hand sanitizer.
It’s been a weird summer and I’ve had to adjust to a new norm (more on that in next week’s blog post!) But in today’s post I wanted to share some of my favorite summer memories in photos. So sit back, relax, put on some music and pretend that these photos are your virtual summer trip!
A reminder! The illustration used in this post is courtesy of my own store, Wildflower Studios. We’re having a HUGE sale at the moment, so be sure to take a look.
