Some changes around here

Hello! If you’re reading this post, it means that you’ve seen the new Little Miss Expat site! I’ve worked on creating this new website for a while, and I’m so happy you’re all getting to experience it. I thought that I would take this time to explain some of the new changes around here and introduce you to some of the new edits.

I’ve been wanting to change up my brand for a while now. When I first started my blog, I tried a lot of different posts out… I wrote about being an expat, being a student, I talked about my favorite skincare brands, my favorite clothes stores, my favorite recipes… and I’m glad I experimented with all of these topics, but it’s time to narrow down my niche a bit. As much as my blog is a space where I share everything going on in my life, it’s definitely more focused about the international student and expat life. This blog is a place where I share my advice on those topics, and I wanted to make that more deliberate. You’ll still see fun lifestyle posts and get to know what’s going on in my life on this blog, but I’ll also be sharing a lot more expat/TCK/international student content – after all it’s a big part of my life! In other words, the content on this website will be a lot more focused from now on, you can expect this to become the home of all expat related advice!

To achieve this goal, I’ve launched a new project called Dear LME! Think of this as an advice column specifically for expats, international students, and TCKs – a place to ask those questions that you just can’t google. I’ll be tackling all sorts of topics from how to make new friends to how to know what culture you fit into. I’ll be answering your own questions, and I’m excited to start this project! If you have a challenge you’re facing or a question that you’d like help with, DM @little.miss.expat on Instagram and start your DM with “Dear LME…”

Aside from starting this new project, you’ll also see that I’ve completely re-designed this website! I’ve been wanting liven up the design for a while now and change things around. I’ve designed the new website to be more user-friendly, easier to navigate, and more mobile-friendly. I design my site myself, and I’m still learning as I go, so let me know if there’s any other changes you’d like to see!

I’m so so excited to have this new lick of paint on the site and to be streamlining my content a bit more. After all, four years on this blog is a long time and it was time for a little update! I can’t wait to continue sharing my expat journey on here and my big move to Washington DC this fall. Who knows… in the future maybe I’ll even share my real identity on here… (maybe not for a while!)

Anyways, enjoy the new site and let me know what you think!
