A week in my life at Georgetown University

I’ve wanted to do this sort of post for a while now! Maybe I’m just super nosy, but my favorite type of YouTube videos or blog posts are weeks/days in the life – I just find it interesting to see how people organize their time! The transition to college life was difficult at first, and I think one of the reasons I found it difficult is because I was so used to spending all day at home last year, and this year I was back to in-person classes, social activities, and all those new responsibilities that come with living on your own such as doing laundry, cooking, cleaning, and running errands. My week in my life this year looks very different from my week in the life last year (I did two “week in the life” posts last year, you can find them here and here)

Anyways, in this post, I’ll share a bit about what a typical week looks like for me! Of course, each week varies a bit depending on what I have going on and what assignments/tests I have that week, but this is a general idea of what a week looks like for me at Georgetown University!

It’s a lot of detail, but that’s what a normal week in my life looks like at Georgetown! My schedule is kind of weird this semester in that I have class almost all day on Tuesday and Thursday and nothing on Mondays and Wednesdays, so I usually schedule a lot of things to get done on those days. There’s also just so much studying to get done, and as you can probably tell I don’t spend that much time in my room studying; I like going off-campus in the morning to get work done and then working on campus in the afternoon to get a change of scenery. I also have a job this semester and I work remotely, so I like to do my work for that job at a cafe to separate the hours I spend for that from my school work.

Obviously, I don’t follow this schedule rigidly. Some evenings I have loads of work, and I’ll just study from dinner until I get ready for bed. But other days, I’ll just end up hanging out with friends and not doing any work, it really just depends! There’s usually some other random club events which come up during the week, which I didn’t include in this summary, and my weekend plans usually change week-to-week. But this is a general idea of what it’s like being a Sophomore at Georgetown University! It’s busy and there’s never time to do everything I could possibly want to get done, so I’ve gotten used to just prioritizing and scheduling in time for a break too!

Let me know if you like this kind of post, I’d love to do one next semester too!
